please don't throw rocks at me

I did not vote last Tuesday.
That is my confession for the week.
I could give a list of many reasons ( i.e- lame excuses) why so I'll start with that:

*I missed the deadline to register in our area since I never did when we moved here last summer
*I suck
*So does Ricky cause he didn't vote either (bad bad..but can't be mad at the guy..he's only working 60 hours a week now)
*I kept tossing the idea around of actually voting and then not voting..do I? do I not? Do I really want to go to jury duty? But then realized that i have 2 little ones with no other form of day care so I would probably be dismissed (would I?? lol)
*it was my way of being a rebel... like seriously, I had this idea that by not voting I was going against something... what I don't know but maybe the establishment? In confusion, I even chanted a few times that "the white man was keeping me down". But I am white so that doesn't make sense.
*And honestly? I knew that Obama would win. I felt it deep in my gut and I just knew it. And I sort of hoped he would win. For the longest time I didn't like either choice we had... I respected and still respect those that had the clear cut idea of who they wanted as president. I just couldn't pick. And I have a hard time believe politicians because let's face it, how many times in US history were we told things by the would-be president and they failed to stick to their guns? ("No new taxes") I'm happy that Obama won. Because he seems to be a pretty compassionate guy and if he's faking that well give the man an Oscar. Ricky and I are not democrats, or republicans, or liberalists, socialists, blahdity blah etc. but we do believe in a few things from each side. What can I say? I love variety.
And in the words of Obama... maybe my political views make me a "mutt" with politics.
LOL

Yeah...the candidates in the election weren't much to get enthused about. We'll see how much "change" we'll really get. FYI- People are now picked for jury duty from DMV records, including licenses & the ID cards for non-drivers. PP
