I hope today gets to be a good day for you two. Especially since last night you guys spent the good portion of the early morning taking care of Natalie at the hospital.
Good 'ol croup.
Gotta hate it.
And we're sitting around waiting to take James in the evening. He's had it for probably about 2 weeks now and Natalie has had it for a few days. At least we know where she got it. :(
She's be okay though. She's on a hefty amount of corticosteroids, cough syrup, and ibuprofen. The steroids is the scary one. But it'll help with all the swelling in her larynx and tonsils.
She fell asleep for about an hour last night and woke up with a really hoarse, loud "barky" cough that scared the crap out of us (thank goodness for the monitors!!) and we rushed in to get her and she couldn't breathe.
But all will be well. Croup takes about 2-5 days to clear out from this point on so each day will get easier.
Poor baby girl. What a crappy birthday present. So now we'll just celebrate their birthdays all week long.

I have been outta the loop on reading blogs since my family has been in town visiting, so I'm just now reading about the horrible croup that you guys are dealing with. How awful!!!! I hope Natalie and James recover very soon! {{hugs!!}}
