What an awesome doctor's visit for Natalie today!!! She gained another 6.5 ounces since last Thursday (seriously, can you believe that??) and her oxygen check was at 94%!! That's just a percent less than an average person! We saw a different doctor today since Dr. S wasn't in. I gotta tell ya, I didn't really like this one, but I think we hid it pretty well. She's one of those doctors who downplay good news. Like, for instance.. Natalie gained 6.5 ounces and she kept saying only 4 (she when from 10 lbs 5.5oz to 10 lbs 12 oz today)..but maybe she's not so great with math. Also, she kept saying that 94% isn't all that great. UHHH... okay. It's actually outstanding. Her cardiologists will be thrilled on Monday when we see them. Especially if it stays that high. But, it's okay. I realized that this doctor is just.... different. She doesn't share the small joy in things when it comes to being a parent of a chd child..Dr. S does.
Oh and on a cool sidenote..it seems that the powder formula that we put Natalie back on last week is what makes her gain weight faster! She was on the concentrated kind for about a month. Ricky and I talked today about that and we both noticed the pattern. She gained a fast pound in the first few weeks of life when she was on powder before. Interesting.....
